Quiz Night

Saturday 22 November.

Who knew there were so many clever people in Drimpton, Clapton & Broadwindsor?

The questions ranged from very easy to quite tough, but I think there were none that weren’t answered by at least one person.

The organising team worked well together, (Quote from the WhatsApp group,

‘Classic case of the swan serenely gliding above water, all the effort unseen’)

and I think overall it was a successful night.

A snippet from the music round (might take a minute to load)

It was great to see so many teams getting into the spirit of things by dressing their tables to reflect their groups/clubs etc, and one team in particular went above and beyond by all dressing themselves in keeping with their group. So, congratulations to Helen, Geoff, Margaret and Annie for looking fantastic, representing the Film Club and winning the Best Dressed Table award. They even had their own audience who nibbled on the popcorn throughout the ‘show’. Good work Elijah!

The winning quiz team was the Ladies Book Club, who took away the cup and gold medals, closely followed by the Mens Book Club, who took the silver medals.

The original object of this quiz night, when we first set it up last year, was to bring together the wide range of clubs and groups in the Village & surrounds.

I think we definitely achieved that, so thanks to everyone for their support.

Joe already has ideas for next year, so start planning now.
