Journey from the backstreets of Buenos Aires to the salons of Paris with this acclaimed trio

A prominent member of Moscow Drug Club, bandoneonist Mirek Salmon has also performed with BBC orchestras, Welsh National Opera and the Royal Shakespeare Company, amongst others. Formed by Mirek in 2016, Tango Calor also features guitar virtuoso Daryl Kellie, described by Guitar World Magazine as ‘epic’, and sensational vocalist Jimi Can, a consummate showman and key figure from Bristol’s burgeoning Afro-Cuban and Flamenco music scenes.

“One of the best tango trios you will hear in the UK” Tango Alchemy

Together the trio has performed in arts centres, tango clubs and at festivals including WOMAD,
also collaborating regularly with various orchestras to perform the works of Astor Piazzolla. Join
Tango Calor for an evening of songs and wonderful stories ranging from classic tango music to
beautiful Piazzolla tunes, lively Latin rhythms and more. Expect a vibrant, uplifting evening as this
trio tour Dorset with Artsreach, the county’s rural arts charity.
