The Heart of The Village

DRIMPTON VILLAGE HALL AND RECREATIONAL TRUST

The Village Hall is a central part of the life in Drimpton. Many groups and activities take place, some of which are detailed on this website. Broadly, activities include Theatre, Dance, Shows, Craft Fairs, Drimpton Football Club, Societies and Clubs. There is a weekly Food Share where donated food from local suppliers is shared.

There is a free to use  fenced off play area for younger ones, a basketball hoop and an outdoor activity area for older children, together with  a large recreation area used for Drimpton Football Club and larger village events. Available for hire for private events, the hall  has a large well stocked kitchen. Tables and all crockery and cutlery is available and  the premises holds licence for the sale of alcohol.

Please note that the car park is private and reserved for hall and grounds users and permitted vehicles only. Dogs are not permitted on the grounds.

The Trust survives on income generated from events, donations, funding and hiring fees. Managed by a small annually elected committee of volunteers from the village, responsible for funding, running and maintaining the premises team is assisted by village volunteers who pitch in with maintenance tasks and helping out on big events.  Very welcoming, it is a key place to meet and greet others and find like minded people. It is considered essential to the mental and physical health of all. You will not feel alone in the Village Hall!

There are 3 vacancies for Trustees to Serve on the Committee

The Trust provides and maintains the Village Hall and Grounds for the use and benefit of Drimpton (and surrounds) residents. As Trustees we share this responsibility as a team. We need a diverse array of people,  skills, experiences and abilities to make this work. If you have an urge to give something to the village, be it time, knowledge, practical, technical or intellectual skills that you think may help to add something to the team, contact the Chair Paul Clements 07540 841022 to chat

The Hall Committee is an enthusiastic team, it's very  rewarding!

You must live in Drimpton, Netherhay (incl down to the bridge) or Greenham

Kindest,

Paul
