Drimpton Village Hall 2025 AGM

A vibrant AGM with around 20 attendees sees us launch into 2025/26.

Plans for the next 12 months include

The grass bank on the roadside is to evolve into a wildflower meadow strip, monitored by the Drimpton Makes a Difference group.

We are to conduct a review of our audio and visual technical capability to ensure we are equality compliant and providing the best that we can for audiences.

A major mid-term project to be launched this year is the refurbishment of the now 23 year old playground, with new equipment and design. More of this in the coming weeks.

The Committee will benefit from the Village Voices group, which is providing a fresh impetus and energy to stage and other community-planned events and the anticipated reformation of the Youth Club.

With our competitive fees, energetic, dynamic committee, and growing local appeal, Drimpton Village Hall and Recreational Trust has a blossoming future.

The open public session highlighted important concerns including flouting of the no dogs rule leading to frequent dog poo on the grounds which even halted a recent football match as well as security of the site where the gates are being left open too much.

It was said recently that many people move house to Drimpton because they enjoy the community spirit, but only a few engage with keeping the community spirit going once they settle.

The public attendance and the commitment of the new committee members challenges that statement.

Future Events
